About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Zwingliana publishes articles on the history of Protestantism in Switzerland and its influence.

Peer Review Process

Each contribution that is submitted for publication undergoes a process of evaluation. The principle of a double blind peer review is applied in that each contribution is assessed by two experts and recommended for either acceptance, revision or is denied. In this process, the assessors as well as the submitter remain anonymous. The editors in charge select the assessors. If two assessors do not agree, a third appraisal will be ordered.

Publication Frequency

Zwingliana appears once yearly.

Open Access Policy

The Zwingliverein and the Institute for Swiss Reformation Studies follow the Open Science Policy of the University of Zurich. Starting with issue 52 (2025), the contributions to Zwingliana will therefore be published in Platinum Open Access on the basis of a CC-BY-NC-ND license.
